A round shape
A shape of the heart
Soft and smooth, rolling around

A palm-sized Jizo
When held, it makes a soft, soothing sound

This piece was inspired by the "good face" my eldest daughter used to make when she was little.
When we lived in Miyagawa Village (now Miyagawa Town, Hida City),
she would always stop during our walks to pray earnestly to the Jizo, saying,
"Please give me a little sister"…
(In the end, she got a little brother instead!)

These works "came to me" naturally, shaped by those moments in our daily life.
